Learning a language helps us in greatly understand a culture, enlarge your social circle, enlarge job opportunities etc. Gone are the days when one used to attend classes and learn a language, although some still find it a preferable way and I wouldn’t challenge it in anyway as learning through a instructor does have its own pros and cons. But time and money is something that we need to invest in these courses and there is less flexibility allowed.
Internet/smartphone age brought us vast amount information to our hands which has easily overcome the financial barriers and made learning at flexible time possible. Not only financial barriers we can also cross geographical and language barriers.
Well, crossing the geographical barrier and moving to Germany was easy for me.
